If you've got some exterior painting to tackle around your home there are temperature guidelines to ensure the best outcome. For latex paint the temperature should be between 50 - 85 degrees. Keep in mind during colder months you also need to consider the temperature of your substrate - the item being painted.
Oil based paints have a little wider range, and painting can be
done between 40 - 90 degrees.
I used a paint today by Sherwin Williams called "Resilience." It can be used in temperatures as low as 35 degrees and it develops
resistance to moisture in a shorter time than traditional paints - just 2 hours. It's a great product and can be bought in quarts as opposed to gallons.
A tinted quart runs about $25 regular price. Color matching exterior paints is always difficult.
Each side of the house gets different amounts of sunlight and weathering. Good luck with your home projects!
